The weather conditions are now fair for the survival of winter crops in most of Belarus. The snow height ranges from 10 cm to 25 cm in most areas, locally from 30 to 35 cm.
In most of Belarus, the soil freeze depth varies from 5 cm to 15 cm, locally around 20-35 cm. As the fields are covered with snow and soil freezing is insignificant, the tillering node depth temperature in winter crops is above optimum, mostly at -1… +1°С.
