EU awards 15,552 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat quota imports

he European Union this week awarded licences to import 15,552 tonnes of duty-free Ukrainian wheat under its annual tariff-rate quota (TRQ) system, official data showed on Thursday.

The EU also granted 1,230 tonnes of cereal imports under other quotas, the data showed.

No maize was requested under a quota of 139,000 tonnes of any-origin maize available for the first half of the year. Importers last week snapped up the entire 1.175 million tonnes of duty-free Ukrainian maize available for 2019.
