In 2018, Ukraine exported grains at the sum of 7.2 bln USD — NAAS

In 2018, the general export volumes of grains from Ukraine totaled 41.7 mln tonnes at the sum of 7.2 bln USD, declared the Deputy Director on scientific work at the National scientific center “Institute of Agrarian Economics”, Academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences (NAAS), Nikolai Pugachev on February 12.

In particular, the exports of Ukrainian wheat totaled 16.4 mln tonnes, rye — 100 thsd tonnes, and barley — 3.6 mln tonnes, down 1.3 mln tonnes compared with the same figures in 2017.

In addition, in 2018 Ukraine supplied the record volumes of corn on foreign markets — 21.4 mln tonnes, up 2 mln tonnes compared with the previous year.

Also, in 2018 countries of Asia, Europe and Africa became the largest importers of Ukrainian grains.
