As of February 1, 2019, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 11.868 mln tonnes. In particular, farming households stored 1.988 mln tonnes of grains, reported the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks — 9.445 mln tonnes, including 7.7 mln tonnes of milling wheat, 528 thsd tonnes of feed wheat, and 1.216 mln tonnes of wheat for seeds.
Also, corn stocks totaled 122 thsd tonnes, rice — 231 thsd tonnes, barley — 1.52 mln tonnes, rye — 11.67 thsd tonnes, oats — 205.4 thsd tonnes, buckwheat — 59.3 thsd tonnes, millet — 15.5 thsd tonnes, and mixture of spiked grain crops — 29 thsd tonnes.
As a reminder, as of January 1 grain stocks in Kazakhstan totaled over 14 mln tonnes.
