Kazakhstan. Oilseeds more profitable than grains

Analysis of crop production profitability in Kazakhstan over the past five years shows that wheat yielded on average KZT 7,600 per ha at the time, while sunflower seed yielded KZT 13,300, rapeseed made KZT 15,000, and linseed margin equaled KZT 17,000, reports UkrAgroConsult. In addition, linseed is said to be cheaper to cultivate compared with other oilseeds.
