Romania. Farmers report corn yield at a high level

Air temperature growth was observed in Romania this past week. It was 6-9°С warmer than usual at this time. The average air temperature varied within the range of +8..+20°C.

No productive precipitation occurred in the country, therefore soil moisture supply continues exhausting. Only small western areas have fair amounts of soil moisture. The remaining part of farming land is exposed to moderate or severe soil drought.

Romanian farmers are finishing harvest of late corn; they report its yield at a high level this season, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Winter grains are at the stages of germination to the first pair of true leaves. Winter rape plants are at the stage of the formation of leaf rosettes.
