Romania increased barley exports to Saudi Arabia

According to port data, in October 2018/19 Romania exported 120 KMT of barley (81.4 KMT in the previous month), which was 30% lower than in October 2017 (173.8 KMT). In October 2018 Saudi Arabia remained the key destination for Romanian barley, importing 65 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Thus, in July-October 2018/19 Romania shipped 576.4 KMT of barley via ports, which was 33% lower than over the same period of last season and 21% lower than in July-October of 2016/17.

It should be noted that share of exports to Saudi Arabia increased to 76% compared to 42% over the same period last season due to lower barley crop in Romania.
