According to port data, in December Romania exported 439 KMT of corn, which was 22% lower than in December 2017 (564 KMT).
In September-December 2018/19 Romania shipped 2153 KMT of corn via ports, which is 11% more than over the same period of 2017/18 thanks to the higher export potential, reports UkrAgroConsult.
This season higher interest is seen from Netherlands, Germany and France partially compensating for the lower exports to Spain and Italy. This season Ukraine is a tough competitor for Romania on EU market.
Import pace of Turkey remains higher than record purchases seen during the same period of 2017/18.
