Russia Considers Exporting Grain To Bolivia

Russia is interested in supplying grain and grain products to Bolivia, and has already asked the Bolivian Embassy to help Russian authorities receive the necessary import requirements, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said in a statement on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Rosselkhoznadzor Head Sergey Dankvert held a working meeting in Moscow with Bolivian Ambassador to Russia Hugo Villarroel Senzano.

"Russia is interested in exporting grain and [grain] products to Bolivia.

Rosselkhoznadzor has asked the Bolivian Embassy to assist [Moscow] in obtaining import requirements for grain. A relevant request had been sent to the competent Bolivian body," the service said in a statement, published on its official website.

Russia has traditionally been one of the leading world grain exporters. The Russian Agriculture Ministry expects Russian grain exports to reach 38-39 million tonnes by the end of this agricultural year.
