Russian Ag Ministry keeps announcing ambitious plans in oilseed production

Russia may produce 8 MMT of soybeans within the coming five years, which may be marketed in the form of soybean meal, soybean oil, or as beans for export, said Deputy Ag Minister of Russia Dzhambulat Hatuov. He emphasized that processed soybeans must be aimed at foreign markets, adding to the agriculture’s main achievement (i.e. transition to export).

The government intends to pay special attention to scientifically grounded crop rotation and per hectare support in order to stimulate high soil fertility.
