Egypt is the key importer of Ukrainian grain in January-October 2018 with a 10.6% market share, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs.
The TOP 10 importers of Ukrainian grain in the reporting period are as follows:
1. Egypt — USD 589.5 mln (a 10.6% market share);
2. China — USD 431.3 mln (7.7%);
3. Spain — USD 409.7 mln (7.4%);
4. Saudi Arabia — USD 397.6 mln (7.1%);
5. the Netherlands — USD 369.9 mln (6.6%);
6. Indonesia — USD 350.1 mln (6.3%);
7. Italy — USD 257.4 mln (4.6%);
8. Tunisia — USD 247.4 mln (4.4%);
9. the Philippines — USD 236.7 mln (4.2%);
10. Iran — USD 221.9 mln (4%).
Over the ten-months period, Ukraine exported grain for the amount of USD 5 571.2 mln.
Since the start of MY2018/19, as of December 19, Ukraine exported 21.09 mln tons of grain, which is 1.84 mln tons more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.
