Planting area for Argentina's 2018-19 soy crop is seen at 17.5 million hectares, the secretary of agriculture said on Thursday, higher than the 17.2 million hectares of soy planted in the 2018-19 season.
The government also reported there was no change in expected planting area for the 2018-19 wheat or corn harvest. The government had previously reported a 6.2 million hectare wheat planting area, and a 9.35 million hectare corn planting area this season.
