Bulgaria almost completed sunseed harvesting

According to the Ag Ministry of Bulgaria, sunseed had been harvested from 733.7 Th ha by October 26. This is 99.8% of its forecast area of 735 Th ha. The sunseed crop amounted to 1885.1 KMT with a yield of 2.57 MT/ha. The harvest is 9.1% behind last year, but with a 12.7% higher yield than in 2017, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The planted area was at 150.6 Th ha as of October 26 against 158.1 Th ha a year ago (down 4.8%).
