A zero duty will be applied to imports of rapeseed, cotton, sunflower and palm meals in China from January 1, 2019. These products can be used as a substitute for soybean meal in the livestock sector and compound feed industry, reports UkrAgroConsult.
For most part, this decision was made in order to decrease the use of soybean meal, as deliveries of this oilseed to China had fallen significantly due to the trade conflict with the U.S.
