Egypt purchased through a tender more oil than planned

In a tender held on January 15, 2019, Egypt’s state buyer GASC purchased 15 KMT of sunflower oil and 60 KMT of soybean oil, reports UkrAgroConsult.

According to trade sources, all the 15 KMT of sunflower oil was bought from Hakan Agro at a price of USD 683/MT for shipment on March 1-15 and 30 KMT of soybean oil from ADM for USD 685/MT. The remaining 30 KMT of soybean oil was purchased from domestic market players: 15 KMT from Alexseeds (USD 654/MT) and 15 KMT from Cargill (USD 654/MT). The oil delivery period is March 15-31, 2019.
