In January 2019, the general production volumes of crude sunflower oil and its fractions in Russia totaled 415 thsd tonnes, down 3.2% compared with the figures in the same month last year, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on February 15.

Also, for the first month of 2019 Russia slightly reduced the production of margarines by 5.1% — to 32.9 thsd tonnes, and confectionery products — down 0.9%, to 268 thsd tonnes.

At the same time, the production of wheat and wheat-rye flour types in Russia increased by 3.4% compared with the same period last season, and totaled 655 thsd tonnes.
