Kernel acquired a 5.85 pct stake in ViOil

Kernel Holding S.A. announced the acquisition by one of its subsidiaries a 5.85 pct interest in ViOil Holding Ltd — a holding entity controlling two multiseed oil-extraction plants with an annual crushing capacity of 1.1 million tons of sunflower seeds and a network of silos in Western Ukraine.

As part of the transaction, Kernel entered into a customary shareholder agreement in relation to ViOil with its existing shareholders.

In February 2018 it was reported that the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) authorized Renvior Trading Limited, owned by the MP and owner of Epicenter Aleksander Gerega, to acquire a stake in ViOil. However, ViOil decided to halt the conclusion of the transaction with Renvior Trading Limited.
