Last year, Russia exported more than 2.1 mln tonnes of sunflower oil — Federal Customs Service

In 2018, Russia reduced the exports of sunflower oil by 9.6% on weight basis, and down 10% in monetary terms, and supplied 2.103 mln tonnes of the product on foreign markets at the sum of 1.6 bln USD, declared the Federal Customs Service of Russia on February 6.

Last year, the imports of sunflower oil slightly increased to 25.7 thsd tonnes (up 0.3%) on weight basis, while the figures in monetary terms decreased to 16.8 mln USD (down 1.9%).

The import volumes of soybeans totaled 2.24 mln tonnes (up 0.1%) at the sum of 992.6 mln USD (up 2.7%).

Also, in 2018 Russia imported almost 1.06 mln tonnes of palm oil at the sum 748.4 mln USD, up 18.9% on weight basis compared with the previous year, and up 6.6% in monetary terms.
