In January-December of 2018, all types of agricultural producers of Russia increased the selling volumes of grain crops by 2.4% in comparison with the previous year, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

At the same time, last year in agricultural organizations the growth of the figures were more significant — up 7.4%, to 67.9 mln tonnes.

Also, in 2018 agricultural organizations increased the sales of sunflower seed by 10.4%, to 6.8 mln tonnes, while the sales of sugar beet decreased by 12.6%, to 35.4 mln tonnes.

As for animal products, in 2018 agricultural organizations sold 11.4 mln tonnes of farm animals and poultry in live weight, up 4.4% compared with the figures in 2017, as well as 15.4 mln tonnes of milk (up 3.5%), and 32.3 bln pcs of eggs (up 1.5%).
