Russia. Tomsk region to begin processing of grown rapeseed

A new rapeseed crusher will be built on the premises of LLC Mezheninovskaya Poultry Plant in Tomsk region. The investment project is valued at RUB 1 Bl, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The plant’s production capacity will be 43 KMT of rapeseed a year. Output of the finished products is projected at 16 KMT of rape oil and 25 KMT of rape meal. The first stage with a capacity of 12 KMT will be launched in January 2019. The facility is expected to be put into operation at full capacity in October 2019.

In addition, part of the invested amount will be spent on rapeseed cultivation, machinery acquisition and seed purchases.

Rapeseed is now cultivated by more than 20 farms in the region. Their combined production exceeds 19 KMT. The bulk of this rapeseed is taken out of the region, including for export.
