Russian vegoil production hit a new high at the expense of soybeans and rapeseed

Vegetable oils output during the first three months totaled 1545 KMT against 1526.5 KMT a year earlier. Thus, last year’s record was beaten – this was achieved at the expense of all-time high crushing of soybeans and rapeseed, reports UkrAgroConsult.

616.8 KMT of vegetable oils were produced in Russia in November 2018, or 9.3% more than in the previous month and up 0.8% from November 2017.

Due to unfavorable market conditions, sunflower oil production during the first three months of the current season is down 8% year-over-year, at 1125 KMT against 1224 KMT a year earlier.

However, a new record is expected in this season’s total processing of sunflower seed.
