The new 2018/19 season witnessed the greatest September volume of sunflower oil production by Ukraine’s medium-sized and large plants (421.9 KMT). An active start of the harvest, high yields, low ending stocks of the finished product were the main factors stimulating sunseed crushers.
In view of an optimistic forecast for this season’s sunseed crop, which is to set a new record, sunseed processing and sunoil production will also reach record levels of 15.2 MMT and 6.5 MMT, respectively.
As a reminder, the previous record in sunflower oil production was set in 2016/17, which featured the heaviest crop by that time.
