Ukraine. Margarine production down 4% from last year

Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 20.2 KMT of margarine in November 2018, i.e. 15.4% more than in the previous month (17.5 KMT), but 9% less than in November 2017 (22.2 KMT).

Margarine production posted a 4% year-on-year decrease in January-November 2018 compared with a 3.4% decrease in January-October, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As a reminder, the current marketing year also witnesses a seasonal rise in output indicators, but it does not look so significant as a year ago. Taking the above into account, UkrAgroConsult estimates that this year’s total margarine production will fall to 210-215 KMT, though staying above minimum due to foreign demand.
