In August 2018, soybean oil production by large and medium-sized crushers in Ukraine totaled 8.9 KMT. This is 32% less than in the previous month and down 10% from August 2017. In addition, August’s volume was the lowest in four years due to a significant drop in soybean stocks, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Overall soybean oil output in the 2017/18 season remained record high at 197.1 KMT against 159.2 KMT a year ago (up 23.8%).
Taking into account the current situation in the soybean market and readiness of many crushers to process this oilseed, the new 2018/19 season will see a new rise in soybean oil production.
