Growth in domestic rapeseed crushing in the new 2018/19 season suggests that rapeseed meal exports may reach new record level in the whole of the season, reports UkrAgroConsult. Over 115 KMT of rape meal has been already shipped to foreign markets during the first three months of the season, i.e. its shipments also hit a new high.
In September 2018, rape meal exports from Ukraine hit an all-time high of 56.6 KMT, having beaten the previous month’s record of 53.6 KMT.
As before, the top importer of Ukrainian rape meal is the European Union, which absorbs 72% of total exports from Ukraine. Morocco has become the second biggest buyer this season, with a market share of 17%. Israel and Belarus received 9% and 2% of total rape meal exports from Ukraine, respectively.
