Ukraine. Sunflower oil production decreased in the last two months

Sunflower oil production in the four months of the current season amounted to 1997.8 KMT against 1812.7 KMT a year earlier. However, due to declined sunflower seed crushing in the last two months, this season’s production is no longer all-time high: it is now down 0.2% from the previous peak registered in 2016/17, when 2001.5 KMT of sunflower oil was produced in the same period, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In December 2018/19, Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 525.3 KMT of sunflower oil, or 1.5% more than in the previous month (517.3 KMT) and 10.2% more than in December 2017/18 (476.7 KMT).

In January’s forecasts, UkrAgroConsult leaves unchanged its estimates for sunseed processing and sunflower oil output.
