The new 2018/19 season witnessed the greatest September volume of sunflower oil production by Ukraine’s medium-sized and large plants (421.9 KMT). An active start of the harvest, high yields, low ending stocks of the finished product were the main factors stimulating sunseed crushers, reports UkrAgroConsult.
In view of an optimistic forecast for this season’s sunseed crop, which is to set a new record of 15.4-15.5 MMT, according to UkrAgroConsult estimates, sunseed processing and sunoil production will also reach record levels.
As a reminder, the previous record in sunflower oil production (6.4 MMT) was set in 2016/17, which featured the heaviest crop by that time.
