USDA: Black Sea oilseed crop forecast raised

In February’s report, the USDA raised its estimate for the 2018/19 Black Sea oilseed crop to 45.5 MMT (+1.2 MMT).

The sunflower seed crop in the region is expected to increase to 31,250 KMT at the expense of a 1,050 KMT gain in Russia (to 11,500 KMT).

The Black Sea rapeseed crop in the 2018/19 season will rise to 5,813 KMT because of a 150 KMT upward adjustment for Ukraine (to 2,850 KMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

The forecast for soybean production in the Black Sea region remained at 8.4 MMT.
