Romania. Vegetative resumption in winter crops reported last week

Last week, Romania was still exposed to elevated air temperatures (on average up 4..6°С from long-term normals). The average daytime air temperature varied within -5°..+6°С.

Precipitation in the form of rain and sleet occurred everywhere (10-15 mm over the week). This replenished soil moisture and relieved soil drought persisting in the south and southeast of the country, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Above-normal warmth provoked vegetative resumption in winter crops that may have an adverse impact on their development in spring.
