Russia. Crops still enjoy favorable wintering conditions

The wintering conditions for crops in the European part of Russia continue to be largely favorable, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Snow cover in the south averages 0 to 10 cm. In most of the country, the topsoil temperature did not drop below -6°С.

The situation in the Central federal district is generally favorable as well. The soil temperature stayed above critical values – it was on average warmer than in recent seasons. The snow height is 20-30 cm, i.e. close to average.

In most of the Volga federal district, snow cover is thicker than last year. The soil temperature did not fell below critical values. There is no serious risk to winter crops.
