As of November 22, 2018, refineries in Ukraine processed 10.2 million tons of sugar beet, the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs.

By the reporting date, 1.4 million tons of sugar were produced.

The production of sugar in the current marketing year is expected to be slightly less than 2 million tons, despite the reduction in the number of functioning refineries.

Sugar production season started 40 enterprises.
