As of November 9, 2018, the Ukrainian refineries produced 1.12 million tons of sugar, Ukrsugar reports.

By the reporting date, 8.5 million tons of sugar beet had been processed.

The production of sugar in the current marketing year is expected to be slightly less than 2 million tons, despite the reduction in the number of functioning refineries.

Sugar production season started 40 enterprises.
