As of December 3, 2018, mills in Ukraine produced 1.5 million tons of sugar.

The National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs that 11.18 million tons of sugar beet were processed by the reporting date.

The Ukrsugar experts reduced the forecast of sugar production in MY2018/19 (September 2018–August 2019) to 1.7 million tons from 2 million tons, due to the low sugar content of sugar beet.

Sugar production season started 40 enterprises.
